site renewal

Bikepaths site up and pedalling without the huff and puff has released an entire makeover of the popular Bikepaths and Cycling enthusiast site

This site uses the Ruby on Rails framework and implements the Substruct web-store.  A fresh approach to those crusty shopping carts we've all experienced.  The new site provides the Bikepaths visitors with simple and intuitive navigation together with a cleanly implemented product catalogue, shopping cart and other content useful for the urban and recreational cyclist.

Esskware managed this as a complete end to end service including, architecture, design implementation and deployment.  The engagement also included cut-over of hosting to the Esskware Rails server environment hosting both the site and general email facilities.

Testimonial from Bikepaths

In May 2008 Esskware was commissioned to do a total revamp of our popular cycling website with the key deliverables that the new site would more widely promoted our Guide by attracting increased traffic, establish an on line E-store to sell not only our guide but also an expanded range of related products and develop new products such as maps sales on line and it would be super easy to maintain in house.

After only a few months the E-store sales have exceeded budget and in house updates and maintenance to the site are just a breeze.

The site was thoroughly pre tested before commissioning, the project was delivered on budget and the site has received accolades since for its fast, ease of use, great content and simplicity.
